The Steelmax ABM1218 is a portable beveling machine capable of producing weld-ready bevels on flat plates of any shearable material up to 100,000 psi tensile strength. The ABM1218 FR uses a shearing process that is silent and fast. A powerful 3 horsepower electric motor drives the machine at speeds up to 8.5 feet per minute, making it the most powerful machine in its class. The machine can produce a 1/2” (12 mm) wide bevel in a single pass and can produce a maximum 3/4” (18 mm) wide bevel on plates or round tubes from 1/4” (6 mm) to 1-9/16” (40 mm) thick in multiple passes. A 30° bevel angle attachment is included and interchangeable bevel angle attachments are available for 22.5°, 25°, 30°, 35°, 37.5° and 45° bevels. The machine is easily inverted to bevel the underside of the plate – eliminating the need to flip the material – improving operational safety and increasing productivity. The ABM1218 FR produces no smoke or dust and almost no noise. Bevels are produced without thermal distortion and the material is weld-ready without additional grinding to remove dross, slag or heat affected zone (HAZ). FEATURES

The APB 32 Pro Automatic Pipe Beveling System from Steelmax will produce accurate weld preparation in minutes. As with all Steelmax pipe beveling solutions, the APB 32 Pro will create highly repeatable and consistent fit-up, dramatically reducing cycle times and improving work flow. The APB 32 Pro mounts to the outside edge of pipe or tubing with a minimum outside diameter of 10" (250 mm). In its standard configuration, the APB-32 Pro can bevel pipe up to 32"(810 mm) in diameter. With an optional attachment, the APB-32 Pro can bevel pipe of any diameter over 32"(810 mm), making this an incredibly versatile solution. By attaching to the pipe's circumference, the APB 32 Pro automatically compensates for out-of-round pipe and tubing and produces a consistent land dimension and bevel angle around the pipe. Outfitted with a heavy-duty, industrial motor with variable speed control, the APB32 Pro turns at the optimal speed for efficient beveling of ferrous and non-ferrous pipes. FEATURES

Extremely productive when full penetration welding is required, the Steelmax PB5 will produce accurate weld preparation in minutes. Creating highly repeatable and consistent fit-up, this tool dramatically reduces cycle times and improves work flow. By utilizing a self-centering mandrel which mounts internally to the open end of the tube or pipe, the PB5 can be rapidly deployed from one pipe to another. Available with a pneumatic or electric motor, the PB5 can be mounted in pipe or tubing with a minimum inside diameter of 1.25" (32 mm) and can bevel outside diameters up to 4.5" (114 mm). Designed with three tool holders, the PB5 can simultaneously mill the OD Bevel, Root Face and ID counterbore to create consistent wall thickness around the joint and ensure complete weld penetration. The PB10 is a heavy-duty ID mounted pipe beveler utilizing self-centering expandable mandrels to provide quick and proper alignment to a pipe or a tube prior to machining operations.
