Compact Powerhouse Built For Drilling in Confined Spaces
When space is tight, the D1 LPX Low Profile mag drill delivers where standard magnetic drills can’t. Standing 7-5/16″ (185 mm) tall, this low-profile magnetic drilling machine is engineered to fit into the most height-restrictive job sites from structural steel beams to bridge maintenance work without sacrificing drilling power or precision.
The compact footprint of the D1 LPX is combined with serious power. Its powerful motor drills holes up to 1-9/16″ (40 mm) in diameter and up to 1-9/16″ (40 mm) deep, giving fabricators the capacity they need in spaces where full-size mag drills simply won’t fit.
An advanced, ultra-strong magnetic base delivers reliable holding power even on painted, rusted, or thin surfaces and other conditions that cause weaker mag drills to slip or fail. For added safety, Magnetic Power Adhesion Control (MPAC) monitors adhesive force in real time and prevents the motor from engaging if holding power drops to an unsafe level, protecting both the operator and the equipment.
The D1 LPX accepts TCT and HSS annular cutters as well as twist drills with a 3/4″ (19.05 mm) Weldon shank, making it a versatile choice for a wide range of drilling applications.
